Japanese Culture -お先に (o saki ni)

When you and your friend or colleague are waiting in line for the bathroom or to buy something and your turn comes, you say "すみません、お先に( sumimasen, o saki ni ) [excuse me for going first.]" to your friend or colleague behind you. When you want to let someone behind you go before you, you gesture with your hand and say,"どうぞ、お先に( dozo, o saki ni )[after you]".
