Own version of Gyu don ( Beef Toppings )

It was late when I went back to the apartment but I was tired eating outside so I made my own version of gyu-don ( beef toppings ) The difference with the gyu-don in Yoshinoya or any other similar shop is that the taste is more similar to yakiniku.

帰りに遅くなったけど外で食べるのはやっだになってアパートでご飯を作りました。牛丼なんだけど味は焼肉と似ている。

  • so j, what's the recipe? does it taste like pinoy bistek? or do you need special sauce for it?

  • -thinly sliced beef ( you can use pork )
    -sliced onions
    -soy sauce
    -sugar
    -black pepper
    -sesame seeds
    -few thinly sliced ginger

the easiest would be to buy a yakiniku sauce and just marinade it to the beef.

it doesn't taste like pinoy bistek it's more of the sweet side almost like our version of spare ribs.

  • yup, i think i got yakinuku sauce here but havent tried using it yet kay am not sure if this is this the same one being used for yakitori, or is yakitori made from scratch?

your soy sauce has to be jap soy sauce, not pinoy, is it?

  • yakiniku not yakitori ( chicken bbq) yes, it has to be japanese soy sauce but you have to add abit of water so that it won't be to strong.
