Miko san....
Miko san or the lady servant of the temple. This picture was taken inside the temple grounds. The sign behind her says that the tree is a she. Actually, this was taken near the entrance wherein you are greeted by two trees. They are the same kind but the leaves are different. That is how a she and he of a tree came to be.

Miki's cooking....
We had a small gathering in my place and Miki did some cooking. We had some ceasar salad, camembert cheese, smoked sardines in olive oil, olives stuff with anchovies, toasted french bread and this the main dish....pochero with a twist. Yup! pochero is a filipino dish but Miki did it her style. I was surprised coz it tasted excellent and goes well with red wine.

1st taste of sales
Yesterday ( November 16 ) was what I may call my own Baptism of Fire in Sales. Until yesterday I would accompany my boss and other staffs during sales call and listen. But since my boss is in the Philippines I was told to do the sales call together with Jeda. Though I've attended the sales seminar and did sales in the Philippines but wasn't 100% confident with my nihongo coz deep inside I know I still need a lot to learn. But again I had no choice since an appointment has been scheduled and no one except for me and Jeda who were trained for this job.
So what I did was to brainwash myself by saying that I can do it. On the way to the office I read the book about High Probability Selling given to me by my boss and refresh my memory. When I reached the office I gathered my thoughts and made some questions which I thought I need to know for the 20 min discussion. Yes, we were just given 20 mins for our discussion and more or less close the deal. I wasn't sure as to why I felt relaxed and thought that I was under control of the situation when to think of it in front of me is the founder and chief executive of the company we would like have business with. To make it short we have reached an agreement and to start with it they have given their word of making an initial order of our product ( which are Filipino Engineers ) . Though I have confidence that our engineers would pass the interview and get the job... I was happy that we did it. This experience will be in my personal history. CHEERS!

At the Karaoke Bar...
Everyone have to sing; so had no choice but sang eventhough I couldn't sing. Mari making fun in front of the camera while I was singing. At this time she was really drunk but she could still sing english songs very well ( I mean with the right pronunciation and tone ?! ).....mmmm I wonder. But honestly was surprised that she could sing not only japanese songs. I learned that she studied in the states and also has a master license in scuba diving. She is the daughter of an owner of a publishing company; so I asked her to include our company in one of their issue.
Anyway, we had a great time last friday.
Last friday's meeting...
Last friday Jeda and I attended a meeting concerning the problems of foreigners working in japan. The association is mostly compose of staffing services, insurance company and foreign publications; and was attended by each company's representative or presidents. Last meeting was a special one because a Member of the House of Councillors attended the meeting to hear the grievances and suggest some laws to help foreigners living in japan. After the meeting we had a small gathering in the top lounge of the Dai-ichi Hotel in Shinbashi. Had few drinks and small conversation with the group. Afterwards we went to a Italian resto somewhere in Toranomon; it was one of the best spagetti I tasted and drank more red wine ( forgot he name of the resto ). Lastly we went to a Karaoke Bar before calling it a night.
