Last Saturday...
In Japan earthquakes happens everyday that seldom you notice it or it has become a part of your daily life. But last saturday was the 1st time I experienced intensity 5 or 6 for 20 seconds. It was that strong that the condo's elevator was unoperational for awhile ( thank God nobody was inside during the incident ),the highway was closed and the densha ( trains ) were forced to stop and schedules went haywire. At that time I was outside the condo talking to one of my neighbors. While we were talking I felt something so I casually told my neighbor " oh we are gonna have an earthquake " as if it was nothin then suddenly the ground moved. 1st up and down then sideways, at this time both of us just stood on our ground and looked at each other then at the condo. We thought the condo would collapse. But then it didn't....whew! I thought would be homeless if it did.
Again I thank God no major damage inside the condo.
