Ishimatsu san and a friend who happened to be in the resto alone without company. So we asked her to join us. I noticed that most of the customers of Granpa's are single women and family living in the neighborhood.

The Last Samurai...?

Had the opportunity to hold and feel the REAL SAMURAI SWORD used during the time before Meiji Period. The sword belongs to my friend's great great grandfather. Refer to the other pictures and you can see that it comes with the family's crest or seal.

The REAL THING ! With the family's crest or seal.

Japanese Anime meets Filipino Anime ?

This was taken last July 18 '05.
Japanese Pokemon meet your Filipino Counterparts !
誰が可愛いですか?
(dare ga kawaii desu ka ? )

current books.....

these are the books that I'm currently reading. The book in Japanese is consider to be the Bill Gates of Japan. A person who they say like to be in the limelight and very controversial. He made a controversy when he entered a bid to buy a professional baseball team. It made a controversy because he said he wanted to change the image of Japanese baseball. Well, in the end he lost the bid to another rival who was more conservative. Another controversy when he wanted to buy out the stocks of a major radio station that has the majority shares for fuji t.v.. One of Japan's major t.v. network if not the most popular for young audiences.
I may not be like him but wanted to get some pointers in managing and developing a small business into a large money making enterprise.

Last Saturday...

In Japan earthquakes happens everyday that seldom you notice it or it has become a part of your daily life. But last saturday was the 1st time I experienced intensity 5 or 6 for 20 seconds. It was that strong that the condo's elevator was unoperational for awhile ( thank God nobody was inside during the incident ),the highway was closed and the densha ( trains ) were forced to stop and schedules went haywire. At that time I was outside the condo talking to one of my neighbors. While we were talking I felt something so I casually told my neighbor " oh we are gonna have an earthquake " as if it was nothin then suddenly the ground moved. 1st up and down then sideways, at this time both of us just stood on our ground and looked at each other then at the condo. We thought the condo would collapse. But then it didn't....whew! I thought would be homeless if it did.
Again I thank God no major damage inside the condo.

will do my best to keep it update and just be myself.

itsukushimu to ei

itsukushimu to ei

you might be wondering what the heck is itsukushimu to ei ?
actually in kanji it would look like this 慈英 it's my name in
japanese. the first character means be tender to; love;be affectionate to. while the
second character means hero ; gentleman ; gentle; kind. actually it should be read as
jiei ( jay ). i just decided to add "to" ( "and" in japanese ) to emphasize both characters.
what do you think of my name ? fits me ? hehehe!
